We have a great time on Sunday mornings with your children! They will love coming to their Sunday School class & Children’s/Junior Church. All Sunday School classes meet during the 9:30 hour and Children’s/Junior Church meets during the 11:00 hour.

Sunday School

Your children will be taught God’s word in an easy-to-understand way. We want children to learn the basics. We teach your child to be nice to others, sharing, saying nice things, and so much more. There are 4 classes available in the morning for your children. The 4 years thru Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd-4th Grades, and the 5th-6th Grades. Classes are marked in the hallways by signs hanging next to the doorway. The 4 year old thru K & 1st Grade classes meet on the lower level while the other grades meeting upstairs.

Children’s Church (4 years – Kindergarten)

Children will have a blast in Children’s Church. Located in the Red Room on the lower level, children are taught age-approiate stories from God’s Word. They participate in the story by helping with illistrations and answering questions. There is a craft and game time to finish out the hour. Your kids will have a blast!

Junior Church (1 – 6 grades)

Junior Church is specifically adapted for older kids. We encourage children 1-4 grade to go to Junior Church. For children in grades five and six, we encourage parents to make a decision as to whether they want their child in Junior Church or in the main Worship Service with them. Children are taught age-approiate stories through the use of props and interesting story-telling techniques. In every class, we give the children an opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. If this is the case, the parents will be notified when picking up their child, as well as church leadership.  Junior Church meets upstairs in Room 114E.

Sunday Evenings for Children 1st – 6th Grade and 4 Years thru Kindergarten

We have a great Sunday night Children’s Program on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm! Be sure to bring your kids to kick-off this exciting new program! We have a great study program for children 1st – 6th grade! We also have a new program for 4 year olds and Kindergarteners.

Sunday Nights at 6pm for ages 4 thru 6th Grade.  The Beloved Dispciple – a Beth Moore study into the exciting world of John’s ministry, his world and his unique relationship with Jesus.  Along the way kids will discover how they too can have a close personal relationship with Jesus.   We have video clips, bible study time, activities, games, snacks, lots of fun in learning!

BACKPACK SUNDAY IS COMING! Sunday August 15 every child attending Sunday School will receive a backpack full of school supplies.

We are collecting school supply donations now.  There is a box in the foyer.

CHILDREN’S DEPT MINISTRIES

Grades 4-6 will be having Kids Visitation on the First Saturday of every month at 10am. We will hand out SS fliers.

M & M’s – Mentoring and Ministering to the children…   We are trying to pair every child at FBC Griffith with an adult mentor.  Someone they can talk to, study God’s word with and go to some fun activities with.  If you would like to be involved, please contact Pam Knight so she can pair you with someone!

TEACHERS: You are invited to meet at 9am in the choir room for a few minutes of prayer before SS begins.
